Hello Gents,
A quick query please, I ve just bought an impreza sti 2004.
After fueling the car i switch the ignition but the engine wont fire up.
I can hear the fuel pump but the engine wont turn.
If I lock and unlock the car the car would start OK.
Does anyone ever had anything like that??
Any answer will be appreciated.

Do you always fill up at the same place.

 

If you leave the car and go pay for fuel it's likely the the cars immobizer set its self after 30-60 seconds. Pressing the button to lock and unlock will then disarm the immobilizer

No I am putting fuel from various places, I found it strange even when I press the fuel flap to open the same thing happens again.

 

are you remembering to press the clutch

 

What difference does this make?
