Default Newbie saying hello!

Hello guys,

I thought i would just say Hi. I dont have a scoob, in fact you will probably flame me to death because i have something made by those guys with the 3 diamond badge.......

As well as my main job, i do quite a bit of electronic tuning and diag work at a garage. We get quite a few scoobies in (not as many as mitsu's i have to say) and one of the guys actually runs one himself.

Anyway, i thought i would just say hello and see what is going on over here for a while.

Cheers,

Ben.

Wagons are the ones to get hold of, look so ordinary - until you put your foot down!!

Thats a bit of a 1960's, hairy chested, gold medallion wearing pooftsa car - isn't it?? Do you look like the cowboy from the Village People???

I am in the village people! OMG! My secret is out!

I need a wagon to carry the stuff i cant in that thing. Would a wagon tow it? It + trailer about 2000kgs ! I kind of like the 'sleeper' idea too.

Cheers,

Ben.

PS, live near bagshot, and thanks for the prps on the motor. its quite quick too.

2000kgs is too heavy for the Scooby .......... I would guess about 1300kgs would be your maximum!

I am a newbie sad old git who wants the space as well so went for a calssic wagon - from the rear looks like an ordinary estate car - it is an import WRX STI 280 bph - even the STI spoilers can`t be seen that well. No big SUBARU letters either just discreet small sticker - so unless in the know and can recognise STI rear lights the first you know is when it becomes a dot on the horizon! You will not regret it wagon or saloon! Go for STI though but I am biased.

Our Wagon is our first scooby also, we needed it for practicality as we have two dogs.
I'ts a real pity they stopped making the wagon sti at the bugeye (sti v7 i think), i was looking for a decent classic sti wagon for about 6 months and not a sniff off one, then sods law we bought a new age blobeye and then one of the guys on here is selling a silver v7 bugeye ... Gutted.

I wasnt too keen on the blob eye wagon at first as it looks even more like an estate than the classic as it doesnt have the rear waist spolier, the top one is more subtle and theres no lips or anything on the bumpers, but then i realised thats part of its stealth attack .

I still love it when someone in a Chav'd up saxo or one of the focus/ fiesta ST's pulls up next to you at lights or is trying to get in your boot, you sit there with a smug look and watch them disappear in your rear mirror .

Ours is WR Blue with gold alloys (thinking of changing these to black/anthtacite - keeping with Wolf in sheeps clothing theme) and lots of people in much more expensive sports cars like prorsches etc thinks whos that guy trying to kid, its an estate that hes just put gold wheels on... i get great pleasure in educating them

Funny as it would be to see, nope, not quite! I just use the corsa for trolling round in at meets and stuff, to and from the garage etc. I just need something with more space and four seats. Pity it wouldnt pull it thats all! Maybe i'll end up with a scoob and a pajero!

Cheers,

Ben.
