About 6 months ago Chips Away did quite a few bits on my car and I was VERY VERY impressed with the results. I would defo recommend them. Only problem is I don't think they can do large flat area's (bonnet) as its very difficult to blend the paint.

Can anyone recommend any decent companies that can remove stone chips for a reasonable price. Would prefer if they were close to Bucks area.

Hi Steven ... how's tricks mate? Have you tried Chips Away? I know a few people who've used them and been happy ... I've got a few on the front of my UK300 but nothing serious (touch wood and all that) ... what I do get though are tiny hairline scratches scattered around the car which I haven't got a scooby-doo where they've come from ....

That will be from carwash/dirty sponge/letting the hosepipe rub against the paintwork (jetwash or home), with probably a few from polishing it carelessly thrown in.

How do you clean it?

Diablo - I've had the car 2 weeks and has only been subject to one wash ... I bought a new sponge especially as well I don't go near the car with the hose pipe so I'm guessing the sponge must have picked up some crap from the bucket or something ... I'm sure they will buff out just very annoying as the paintwork is immaculate, any recommendations ? I've run out of Autoglym Paint Renovator but didn't think too much of this anyway ....

Zymol cleanse or some of the Swissol products will be what you want.

Do a search on here for contacts, etc.

Given that the car is only 2 weeks old, I will guarantee you that the fine scratches will have been caused by the dealer valet. To55ers don't care [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

You can see them cos you've washed some of the wax off, probably.

Don't get down about it - it happens all the time.

You may be right about the scratches, it's just annoying when you do a close inspection that's all ...

I have asked them for a quote, so we'll see. The other week some kids egged the cars and houses all down the road, and some of the paint on the boot of the Scoob has been chipped. Noticed a few stone chips on the bonnet that they can also repair.
I haven't seen you since you got your UK300. Are you still going to MK every now and again?

I had a fairly bad scrape on the underside of my front bumper, a small but rusty scratch on the front wing, both mirrors re painted and a couple of other small marks touched in and paid £220.

My only regret is having it done then crushing the front of my car using the "oh sh*t, I'm not going to stop in time" technique

So a few little stone chips should be no more than £50? Just so I have an idea of how much to expect.
