ok... we had a VERY SMALL VERY LOCAL Club Rally last weekend...
I tried my hand again at photographing the cars... and I think I got SOME good shots this time.

As you (Geezer) are now my "official" photography critic, (heh! heh!) please take a look and let me know what u think!

Everyone else, please enjoy and... er... I know it's not a WRC event - but hey - here in the states, we'll take what we can get!!
At least we are making an attempt at rallying!!!

Very good photos! They're not fakes are they?
Is the yellow car Per Eklunds?

What is the white and red Subaru? It looks a bit tired. And why are the cars going around a mud pit?

You see, a bit of gentle rib poking from us Brits, and viola!, your pictures are transformed.

hahaha! ok! so I did better?
yes, the yellow car is Paul's - the red/white is an 85 Subaru RX Turbo. It actually does quite well in it's driver/car class.

The first day of the rally was at an ORV (off road vehicle) park type place as the roads we were to race on were being "worked" on by the state

The second day was much better - 7 stages out in the woods... very cold, very muddy, very rally-like!

The reason they are running in a "mud" pit is ..

A local politician got the roads that they were to use on the Saturday closed at the last minute.. The "mud pit" is as actually an Off Road Vehicle park..

The course layout went through a very tight section with lots of trees very close to the track and then into the stadium area..

Oh result was

Trees 4
Cars 0

Sunday stages were the more typical mix of Forest and Tarmac stages..

I still think that Gm, Ford etc, should homologate things like the Mustang, Cammarro etc, so we can have the ultimate bad handling rally car, but maximum spectacle. What do you think?

I would love to see a picture of one of those things rallying!
