trying to fit a bloomin drivers door mirror glass..

ok....geezer hits my mirror....smash...

40 squids..new one....

trying to fit it....and boy its tight and dont want to smash it...


anybody got any advice? scooby mechanic at dealer is not back until Mon!!! arrgghhh

I presume you mean just the glass on it's own into the round plastic clippy thing??

They are a bit tight, try some WD40 or similar on it, line it up carefully and just push it firmly with the palm of your hand in the centre of the glass, there should be a click which is hopefully the clips and not glass

hairdryer required for this job - once the surrounding plastic is warm the glass pops straight in

btw - iirc the glass should cost circa £7
time to change dealers too!

The other useful piece of kit when doing this job is a couple of blanking plates from a PC - the ones at the back that cover up expansion slots. They're thin enough to hook over the rubber/plastic & slide in
