WRX STI 2.5 hatch Type uk
hi guys im thinking about buying a 2008 wrx sti type uk 2.5l hatchback it has done 73k miles and im just looking for a few answers....
the dealership has said it has forged pistons and had a remap done but has no proof, it has a titanium exhaust with sports cat.
ive been told by a few people that the engine will go bang?
is there anything to check on before buying the car?
what maintenance is involved in keeping the car running well?
is there anything that will need doing as soon as i buy the car?

i think they have recently paid off the finance so there is no outstanding finance on the car it just hasnt been updated yet
regarding the proof that is a tricky one but i dont know whether its worth the risk or keep looking, i need to look from a dealer
as i would need to finance the car because i dont have that amount of money upfront. i would also need to trade my car in the pay
off the existing finance that is due on my car

Don't borrow money to buy a car with no history of who rebuilt or mapped it. You could end up owing on a car that needs lots of money spent on it. An enthusiast would change oil every 5000 miles minimum, so you should have at least 14 service stamps. I wouldn't consider an advert as vague as that, when there are so many documented hatches for sale at the moment.
