Default JDM Hatch UK Hatch

Im thinking about going back to a Subaru.
I currently own an Evo9 which i am very happy with.
After 5 different Stis from Gc8 to 03 Spec-C this is by far the best car ive ever had.

Now im looking for sth new and maybe a Subaru again.

The Hatch is my first choice atm.

Questions are:

How good is the UK STI Hatch compared to the JDM and Spec-C?
Is there a Twinscroll conversion Kit available for the UK car?
Is the 2.5l still very this bad?
Can i retrofit a Cruise Control to the JDM Hatch?
Whats the JDM Hachtes Price range? Any available or Import?

After 5 STIs i swear i was never going back to a UK car. But maybe the Hatch is different here? ( which i dont think to be honset but there is some hope lol )

regards!

JDM hatches have cruise control, its not the price of them, its finding one, then trying to prise it from the owner.

As above JDM everytime, the uk variants are just the afterbirth thats left over from the actual birth of a true subaru impreza that is the JDM model.

And before anyone starts chirping at me i have owned both,so i do know from experience and acquired knowledge the many differences between them.

All 3 JDM hatches Ive owned have not had cruise control. 20th,Spec C and STi. Mark my words when people realise how good the JDM hatch back is there be the new car to own, the UK spec standard STi's let the brand down imo. I'll be definitely having another one as I think they're the best all round Subaru you can buy, they do everything very well. As a daily, track car, even a family car. The best thing for me is they are understated

Jdm definitely if you have the funds. Nothing wrong with a 2.5 though if it’s been looked after.

Of course not raggy but theirs nothing wrong with a good running uk sti. I had a look on hurst the other day and they had a lovely jdm hatch on the site, £22,000 though which I thought was a little overpriced. But when I do eventually change I’d be tempted with a jdm hatch definitely.

Hurst are the most expensive import dealer. They do a nice job of presentation, but their cars aren't anything special

Torque GT are OK

I've just bought a pearler of a 2.0 JDM off S204Darren on here. Why not contact him?

I have the facelift revision C model. It has a few bits on that I don't think are standard on the A and B models. For example:
Flexi strut brace:

Pillow ball alloy arm kit:
https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/par...y=&searchPart=

Subframe pillow ball mounts:
https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/par...Key&searchPart

Rear arms:
https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/par...y=&searchPart=

And this brace:

And darker steering wheel and dash like the saloons:

Not sure how many are options or standard on the facelift..

For rev C onwards the suspension was revised with the spec C having the same suspension setup as the standard ej207 MT STi models and also the MY11 onward UK cars. JDM ej257 and SS (sport shift) models have different setup.

Spec C steering rack is no different to standard JDM models (except for S206, R205,tS and STi 20th anni versions) and is different to UK cars.

I have the facelift revision C model. It has a few bits on that I don't think are standard on the A and B models. Not sure how many are options or standard on the facelift..
For example:
Flexi strut brace:
Part of the STi performance package - if the ends are cherry red. If cherry blossom pink, then bought as an STi accessory before it went mainstream.

Front Pillow ball alloy arm kit:
Standard for rev C onwards

Subframe pillow ball mounts:
Part of the STi Performance package

Rear arms:
Part of the STi Performance package

And this brace:
Part of the STi Performance package but for rev A & B only

Rev C onwards should use these as the chassis was redesigned

And darker steering wheel and dash like the saloons:

Standard rev C onwards
