Default Stage 1 upgardes

Hi Guys,

I am considering a bit more power for my 2004 prodrive blob wagon.

I reckon what I need is.
uppipe,
prodrive downpipe
injectors(what ones)
Bigger turbo(what one)
sit intercooler(is this necessary)
new fuel pump

and a remap.

is there anyone who will be able to put a package together for me for a reasonable price?

Matty is your man in the trader section I'm sure he will have all that on his shelfs. As he breaks loads of STI's. Just get sti injectors and turbo and intercooler.

For mapping I used Russ Paton when he was at HQ garage, he’s now at RA motorsport. Great guy. Very knowledgeable and happy to explain everything

Wrx Prodrive piped intercooler is fine for 300-320hp any more needs to be sti.
I'd stick the sti scoop on as collects more air so will help too,

Depends what power you are aiming for, and how much you've got to spend. I posted about my upgrades in another thread, so rather than typing it out again...

Stage 1 I'd class as an air filter, exhaust (decat), fuel pump, remap. My blob PPP wagon I had before had a Prodrive downpipe, STI up-pipe, walbro 255 pump and a panel filter. On the standard TD04 and standard injectors, TMIC - made 272bhp. Was a great daily driver. As someone else said, just depends what you're after and what you use it for.

Consider a beefier clutch and better brakes. Getting more power transferred on an old or wore clutch and going without stopping is not a good idea.

I'd recommend the Harvey up pipe, avaliable now from AS Performance.
Better and earlier spool makes for a more driveable car

Also, Andy is still on the go. I'd go to him if he wasn't so far away!

As I previously said, Russ Paton at RA Motorsport or I believe Andy F maps at Hypertec in bonnybridge.

Russ mapped my 500bhp classic on vpower and vpower+meth. Car has never missed a beat
