Default misfire help? could this be the cause

So, have a project bugeye ive nearly got back on the road after approx 2 years off it. sorted loads of issues, and it now runs without an EML light etc.

however under load, it doesnt come on boost, very hesitant. noticed that this injector seal is completely perished as below. Could this cause a misfire? anyone know? it idles ok, and seems to drive off boost without any noticeable problem, however undr load it is far from ok

and the others are slightly cracked

Im jsut trying to identify the cause of this hesitant or stuttering acceleration

connected to Ecu however no fault codes have been stored, or historic are showing. Bought new sparks and coil packs (used coils) when they arrive I'll swap them over, also get some 99 Ron in there Somewhere the tank is real empty and thibk it only got topped up with about 5 litres of 95 ron

for the price of the injector seals if they are perished you should replace them. Maybe they don't leak at idle but under the higher fuel rail pressure when coming on boost and when on boost they could be letting go.

If they've been apart before hopefully someone has left all the hard to access heat shields off so replacing the seals shouldn't be an all weekend job.

I take it you've pulled the plugs to take a look at them aye?

Yea sparks have what appears very heavy carbon deposits. Guessing where the guy was running it without a maf, and that siliconed isopan lid over the dump valve It was running rather rich!

Yea can't see any heatshiled apart from on the exhaust, there's not even intercooler brackets..

makes whpiping the intercooler off a 30 second job tho.

ill try the new plugs and coils hoping it will sort it, then try your map out

While your swapping the plugs and coil packs it would be a good idea to compression test the engine, at least then youll know the engines in good nick.

Oh and the injector seals youve pictured are not the main injector seals, theres also a top and botton o ring seal that gou cant see that do the main job.
