All I can say is WOW! What a car. With the M button on this is just awesome. The acceleration was unlimited. I do love Turbo's but a 4.0 V8 N/A is stunning. I must say I was pretty disappointed to have to jump back in my 330Ci.

Shame about the looks. Rear looks similar to the E46 but their is just something wrong with the front - and Im not just on about the bonnet bulge they nicked from a Holden

I'm loving that as well! Took a while for the new shape one to grow on me, but I really want one now!
The E46 one is suddenly looking quite dated, however I'd still like one of them too!!

I thought they were too understated to begin with too but the more I see them the more I appreciate the subtle differences.
They actually look really aggressive on the road, really squat. Typical BMW design, takes a long time to grow to like it fully.

I think its biggest problem is its price. With a few options you're looking at the same price as a base model 911. Now I know the two cars aren't directly comparable, but I know which keyring I'd prefer. Being so heavy and having such a high red line you're also going to have to run the camera gauntlet every time you want to play. Terrible mpg too....but I won't bang on about that

Jespin that's not quite true about typical BMW designs, because i instantly liked the first 8 series when these arrived in the showrooms. It's a typical bangle design not BMW.

That's what I meant, but all of the big sellers are/were Bangle designed.... don't exactly see many 8 series around now do you? All of the recent models have been growers, most people will agree with that.

You might see more 8's, when they all gather to different places and i'll correct you there the 8 was designed by a german ( Klaus somebody i think ).The styling of the 3 series saloon is boring (i guess people would buy that out of sheer boredom). The boot lid on the new 6 series looks like an after thought that destroys the lines.Yes the 7 series they improved by shall we say rearlifting but i prefer the previous E38 7.
