Just Had the 996TT Re-Mapped
Yesterday I had my 996TT (photo below), remapped by REVO . As this was not done on a dyno I cannot be definitive about what it is actually achieving.
However REVO suggest upwards of 70BHP increase and similar in ft/lbs , so it should be up at around 490 bhp and similar ft/lbs. I think it will now boost at .9 bar.
I only had a short run in the car last night, but it certainly felt more "nippy" especially in the mid range. The tiptronic may not be to everyone's taste but when you accelerate hard, there is NO dropoff at gear change with it and it now pulls like a fighter jet. 30-3 figures just came up in about 6 seconds on the digital speedo. With the weight of the car at 1545 KG it should be producing about 325bhp per ton now.

Do they keep the power and torque down because it's tip? Mine is making 520ish on 100 octane fuel with a DMS remap and sports exhaust.
The car was quick before, now it's a monster, midrange for overtaking is unbelievable and I have had some quick cars before. It's superbike quick but totally effortless.
Is anyone really interested in MPG? I get more or less the same per tank as I did before but to be honest I'm not keeping track of it. A few extra quid in fuel is insignificant compared to the overall cost of running it.

I would agree with your performance description by the way.

No. Tiptronic is seemingly OK up to 600bhp. Power quoted by me is conservative (as REVO show graphs of just over 500bhp). Exhaust (which you have will release at least another 20bhp according to REVO,DMS etc).
I would agree with your performance description by the way.

Just took a look at your profile which answers my earlier question. Just wondered if you worked in the same industry as me.

I am cleaning it myself weekly with Snow Foam applied through a Foam Lance on a Karcher: then washed with Zymol wash: then hosed down and dried with towels. Have not waxed it yet with my Zymol wax.
The red is very difficult to keep spotlessly clean though.
