Default Post remap Stuttering

I remapped my Saab 9-3 Aero yesterday and now it has started stuttering, low down its ok and if you let the boost build slowly and then let it go to the redline it seems ok, any thoughts ?

Yea, possibly a dodgy plug/lead... did you change any of them before remapping/raising the boost??

Cheers,
Grant

No, was planning on doing it this weekend with the oil change, so will change them then, all points to coil packs or plugs, will do it in order of cheapness !

maybe change the gaps on the plugs (or if they need changing anyway) just sounds like they cant cope with a straight on off scenrario (rapid boost build up instead of progressive)

It certainly feels quicker when it isnt stuttering, feels like the car it should have been from the factory. Its meant to be 250 bhp/280 torques, would like to be able to use them properly, its amazing how quickly it accelerates compared to before, I dont know how you lot with 300 or more bhp cope, would be too quick for me !

if its anything like the VAG 1.8T it could be a split boost hose and or dump valve diaphragm

No, not yet, can be driven ok, its only when you boot it from low down, have ordered some plugs as Halford and the local car shop dont have them, will just go through each suggestion, starting with the cheapest.

Doesnt appear to have any leaky hoses.

It seems to be around when it would be under the highest boost versus least revs.

I was wondering whether a dump valve could cause it, i.e. with the increased pressure its blowing past the o/e cheapo, that said it will go past this point ok.

Weak wastegate spring ?

Is looking like Coilpacks though

Fuel filter or pump, dont think so as once its over the stutter it seems to rev fine so that to me suggests the fueling is ok.

Anyone know of a diagnostics place in Cheshire that understands turbos as to be honest I find it frutrating explaining how my car works to the local garage as they listen on looking confused.

Nope, not just you, it happens with other stuff like Electronics, there is such a wealth of info on the net these days, its easy to pick up a lot of knowledge, perhaps not that practical some of it but it does give you an understanding beyond some so called experts.

Its a BSR 'PPC', its a standard off the shelf map for the car, a bit like a Bluefin, you plug it in, it uploads a map and off you go (supposeldly), generally very reliable, 210 -> 247 bhp.
