Default If your Ruf is too slow.....

Think I'll change me user name to blotthehawkslayer
The Noble M12 made the cover of the March Car and Driver. On the cover they announce that the M12 is capable of 0-60 in 3.3 seconds! There is a two page article inside that gives a glowing review of the Noble.

Here are the performance test results printed in the article:

Noble M12 GTO-3R

0-60 mph………................................3.3 sec
0-100 mph………………………….8.1 sec
0-150 mph....………………………..26.6 sec
Standing Ό mile…………………….11.8 sec @ 118 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph………………….167 ft
Road Holding, 300 ft-dia skidpad….1.00g

I reckon the americans do their performance testing by eye - they always seem to be able to get "unusual" figures. Guess it's the same with their BHP figures too - no doubt that noble would probably have 400whp on their dynos

Tis true hawkslayer my son and forsooth, mine is not heavy and slow like the 3R, tis such a shame that Rufs are only allowed out when it's sunny and dry and must not go within 20 miles of a track.

Written evidence at last that porker drivers do indeed believe they own the roads

Next you will be saying those times don't reflect the true abilities of the car, what about the twisties, yardy yardy yah

Gauntlet thrown back again to press your car's 'DO NOT PRESS THIS BUTTON' button.................what is it called again? is it the PMSL button???

Course, what that doesn't show is the six parachutes to stop it within another quarter of a mile, the huge spin it went into when it had to turn round (eek a corner!) and what actually gives this away as a fake, is the lack of advertising on the car for the drivers chain of salons...........just another pretender like those ruf beetles............

Now, where did I leave that private test track ? Oh yes, I left it 10 miles south of Scnuthorpe on March 26th (or April 2nd ). Both parties invited, only condition is I must scrutineer both vehicles by performing several laps at very high speed

Serious gauntlet settler. I really mean it. You are both expected to attend

More details please of march?

Don't forget Corradoboy, if this is at a circuit, you will have had to arrange a team of servants to brush the track with dustpan and brush, washed it, and painted a 'ruf lane only' and arranged for not a cloud in the sky within 100 miles of the british isles for the hallowed stuttgart shed to make an appearance.
Need to be careful now tho as secret pics of hawk track testing have just come through............

Details are ; 3rd WYIOC trackday at Rallydrive. Still finalising details, but it should see 20+ Scoobs & Evos (plus owt else that fancies it) having free reign of the basic but adequate circuit for the whole day at minimal cost.

As for all that special treatment, when I had a ride in Pauls car it was dark, damp and quite dismal. The thing went like stink though 70 to 1 <cough> hund <cough> irty ahem, ah that's better, was mighty impressive. The standing start on a greasy surface certainly put my Scoob to shame, I'd estimate it just under 4s, so I can't wait for a dry go

Is that Howard whatsisname's place? in the middle of nowhere and very cold with but a hut and a one bar fire for comfort? Still interested but not sure it's fit for a ruf.....

Only time he's been spotted in it recently, it was looking suspiciously polished and shiny.

When Paul tried my car, he struggled to find the stability control button, the 4 wd and the anti lock brakes, for goodness sakes, it hasn't even got leather or a built in phone........it also wasn't as officially quick as it is now, given that mine is a svelt 950kg as opposed to the lardy arsed 1050kg of the 3R

I may indeed have a look down at the WYIOC day but may not run?? the track didn't seem very 305/30/18 freindly!!!!!!!

Indeed i have been driving around quite a bit lately unfortunately I had to park the car up for two days due to "severve fly damage"

I notice that HawktheCARPOLISHER is down as a spectator told you you would have to paint the circuit to get a porsche out on it........

May well be tempted out to this.
