Red face My Old Minis Been On The Rollers........

My old mini which I sold about 6 weeks ago has been on a rolling road with it's new owner.

I never put it on so was interested to see what it got....

302 @ the wheels
360 @ the flywheel

660kg with all fluids

Quite pleased even if it's not mine anymore

I was thinking, even the Hayabusa mini's don't produce that sort of power do they?

Maybe A mini-Metro 6R4???

It was a classic shaped Mini with 2 R1 bike engines installed. Details of the exact car can be seen here

Matt, probably not in reality.

Why did you go down the twin R1 engine route and not the turbo hyabusa(sp) route?

I have been thinking about one of theses for about a year now. Time is seriously against me. How many hours spread over how long did you work on the project.

Two busa's wont fit in the back of a mini, R1's are very small in size compared to other big cc bike engines.

Z Cars Ltd did ALL the work and spent over 1000 hours on it but it was the first and still is the only road legal twin bike engined mini done

lolsss not two busa engines, a single TURBO hyabusa engine. Would give the same power and more torque that 2 R1 engines. And would be much less complicated. In addition could be tuned to about 400bhp if you were absolutly mad.

There has been a turbo'd busa (single engine) done and it had slightly more power than my old one but because of this had a less traction (much less weight over rear (driven) wheels. In effect was slower round a circuit

The first mini dvd features the turbo 'busa car and the second my old one-watch both and then say the turbo looks faster

By the way it's suposed to be running 400bhp, tuned by holeshot racing so no cowboy job either
