22's Yuck!
I've just seen an X5 on what must be 22's. It didn't look quite right so I started to think why and then it occured to me that they didn't so much look like big alloys any more, but more like cart wheels
So my conclusion is bigger isn't always better when it comes to wheels.

Oh and BTW, it made the car look very gangsterish

Maybe it was a gangster.
Less is more sometimes, like anything to do with modifying cars, keep it subtle, like on most hot hatches a 40mm drop looks good but 60 or 80mm looks daft and ***** the handling.

i saw a nasty peice of work at the ring 24hr race this year. That was on something like 22's and had a bodykit to give it flared arches. What was really stupid was the kit went over the 2 rear doors so they couldnt be opened. Pretty sure it was a Toyo Tyres demo car.

Too bigger rims on smaller cars look daft. But when you have a Hummer, Escalade etc etc the bigger the better IMHO and 18's would look daft. I saw a Hummer in the States earlier on this year with 26 inch spinners and it was unbelieveable!!
Like anything in the car world, It's a personal thing and what one might not like another might love! It would be boring otherwise eh???
