I think it looks reasonable OK as far as 4x4's go.
I think it looks craps as far as Porsche's go.
Don't think Porsche should be making this sort of vehicle anyway. Could dent it's sports car image if it gets popular.

I think the designers need to be taken out and shoot. Or did an 8year old win a Blue Peter competition and have his idea turned into reality.
It looks like one of those old VW's (not that I've got anything against them).
It's one thing to keep your corporate identity, but I think you've got to draw the line somewhere.
I'll get my coat.......

Hmmmm.
They don't look very nice do they.
However, are these the final versions? The two pictures above show different bonnets, bumpers and sill treatment.
SUV's are not my cup of tea but with the all the pre-publicity linking the Cayenne to the Paris-Dakar 959's, I was expecting something more 'Porsche' looking!
I love what they have done with the MY2002 996 but they have some decidedly dodgy accessories and colour/trim options in their Tequipment calalogue these days...
At this rate, it looks like there is some serious 'turd-polishing' to be done in Stuttgart if they are not to totally miss the mark with this one.
I'm off to the Geneva motorshow tomorrow so will try to sniff out some more info.

The one they showed in Evo some months ago (or was it Autocar, I forget?) looked better than this. A sort of burgundy colour it was. Not my cup of tea, but at least it was inoffensive.
I still can't work out the point of this or the X5. Surely if you can afford one of these you can afford two more specialized vehicles instead? (e.g. STi and Freelander/Disco)

Andy is correct the top on is the turbo and the bottom one the S (non-turbo)
I'm thinking that people with too much money or a bloke called Wayne Kerr might buy it.
