Got one on order at the mo.....just wondering what the general rule is these days when it comes to 'running engines in'......some people reckon about 1k miles......

I would do a steady 1000miles, then get it chipped. A Lcr at jabbasport made 293bhp 290lbs ft yesterday.

Watch the maps though, some go to a peak power and die again, its not all about figures. Mate has an LCR and while not the high figures others claim, his is Oettinger, its more driveable and just as fast as the power and torque curves last longer albeit at slightly lower figs. Not cheap though, but Oettinger will replace your engine if it goes, wonder how many others would?
