Has anyone got any experience with this BMW model, would like any info, as I'm test driving one in the morning for the better half.

Great car and a better bet than the V8 IMHO - lighter lump up front and a better steering setup.
Make sure that the service history is buttoned down to the very last detail and if you can take advantage of an extended warranty, I would.
One little idiosyncrasy that might give you cause for concern is their thirst for oil - they can glug a litre in 500 miles under certain conditions. Nothing to worry about, it's a feature of the engines. Something to do with the scraper rings they use.
