Got to drive an Enzo today, oh joy!
and it was just quick beyond belief, the finish was superb and the whole driving experience was better than i had imagined.
Pressing the red starter button and hearing the bark of the exhgausts as it caught is just something else!
I am not a small bloke at 6' and nearly 18 stone but i found it comfortable and not to cramped, it was a bit clausrophobic pulling down the door but once inside you forget about it.
I warmed it up the prodded the gas on a longish straight, at 4K there was the most glorious sound as it came on boost and it took off like it had been shout out of a gun. Flicked the paddle into second still on boost the tyres chirpped and again it just went and went, same into third and at that point i burst out laughing with a mixture of nerves and adrenilin rush. covered around 3-4 miles (sadly) not to many twisties but just the way it drive cornered and barked was something else. Npot something i wil forget in a hurry.
The paddle shift was easy to use and felt instant. Reverse was easaly, no levers just into first, pull back on both paddles into neutral then a small alloy button on the bottom left of the steering wheel (foot on brake as well). It is (or at least felt) a wide car which took some getting used to!
It's gonna take a week or so to get the grin of my face!
Piccies to follow once Rik gets them off his digi!

Phil, it felt like on boost! yes, on cam (doh) the punch as in goes on cam feels like as a BIG turbo on boost, the exhaust note changes and it just flies, i do not even know how big the engine is, you can see so much of it under the persex cover although the edges of the cover are a mesh to let heat (and noise) out is suppose. I am not a Ferrari anorak but i do apperciate a great car.
I did however call a mate who is a Fwerrari nut and casually asked him;
" have you ever heard an Enzo start up?"
He replied "no!?!"
I said "well here ya go then" and held the phone out of the cabin with the door open as i pressed the button!
He replied with some choice words and implied i did not know who my father is/was.

I sat in an F40 yesterday and that made my day, can only imagine what driving one would be like, let alone an Enzo, thanks for the insight......bar$teward

Thanks Chris
J4 - I have a slow metabolism and am big boned. It is nothing to do with eating too much and not taking any exercise, honest!
