Would I regret an Audi S3 ?
Owned my classic 350bhp for like nearly 15 years and thinking of a Change.
if I can get near £5k for mine I’ve seen a modified S3 for similar money , claims 400 bhp but hey we all quite big so unless priced guessing closer to 350bhp
so , would it be a good car to replace the Scoobys smiles per mile ?

Dude you need help that is like yukh 🤮
but each to there own no offence
you’ll never be happy with it especially when a tdi looks exactly same parks nxt to you
atleast with a scuby even a child knows it’s a thoroughbred rally car and will point at it and you’ll get a wink off the mummy 😜
Puts r32 to shame when parked n3xt to one although it’s a diesel

Don't do it mate.
I live in Brum so there are plenty of S3s etc here. Jump in one and have a go and you will see the difference. In my honest opinion they aren't worth it but based on the price you're getting it for does change a few things.
Most people I have spoken to about it have said they are bland.

Is there much difference between an RS3 and S3?

But each to their own. I'm biased because I have a strong hate towards them due to their current image.

I think the S and R have different engines the S should have been cheaper to begin with. I know this is a simplified way of looking at it but every other manufacture has clear segments. Bmw have their normal daily cars then the M version. Mercedes has normal dailys then the AMGs. The S was thrown in as a money maker but I don't feel its an enthusiasts car but a 'look at me' car for the kids. Should have been a GTI car instead.
But thats just my opinion. You're going from a classic and to be running a classic in this day and age you have to be an enthusiast. So go and test drive one or alternatively get a daily.

RS3 has the 2.5 5cylinder engine. Worth it just for the noise because let’s face it; 4pot VW/Audis do sound terrible. Pity it’s DSG only. Its also sportback (longer wheelbase 5door) or saloon only so no 3door etc.
VAGs are a different scene, so it’s up to personal preference. I mean you can mod it to self park if you want - some owners have. No scoob owner ever dreamt of doing that let alone do it
Guarantee it will feel tame to a quick scoob. That doesn’t necessarily mean its a slower car.
Easier car to work on though IMHO*

RS3 is a numb lump compared to a Scoob. An S3 is not much slower in the real world to an RS3 but the RS3 has the sound and imo is far better looking. I’m talking about 8V. The orange one pictured is an 8P I believe but I have no experience of those.
