90 mins or so that could have been covered in 30. Best bit was the dive crew display at the end.

They should have emptied the pool quickly for some of the "competitors". That would have livened it up a bit

I caught this programe halfway through for about ten minutes, had to move on quickly after realising that it was so bad that it might make compulsive viewing.
They should make next week's highlight Jo Brand in a bikini jumping off the highest board to prove that she is a worthy judge.
What were they thinking of by making her a judge?

Don't think the swimsuit did her any favours - she looked way, way better when they showed her in training

"I pressed over"
Is that a modern phrase for Masterbate?

No, it is the modern phrase for "pressed over", I don't understand the confusion.

I used to mess around on the 10m platform as a kid back when I had no fear / was stupid (more so). Did plenty of dives from it but never any somersaults etc. I remember to this day my younger brother trying it for the first time and overcooking it and slapping his back. Horrible sound and the pool just went quiet. To be fair he took it well but his back looked like mighty red.
There used to be some middle aged chap who did some reverse crucifix – arms crossed over his chest and just fall backwards. We used to love watching that.
Haven’t been to a proper pool in ages but I bet they have Health & Safety all over the diving pools nowadays.

Reminds me of Men Behaving Badly when Tony was trying to impress the girls and was sick over the edge of the top board.
