Valentine 1 detector

Is the Valentine 1 sold in the UK exactly the same as the USA model only a shed load more expensive ??
As far as I can see the only difference is that the USA model has KU band disabled and the UK one has X and KA bands disabled, all of which can be changed n the setup.
Also, which is considered to be the best the Valentine 1 or the Bell 550 ?
Brother is over there just now so I thought I would get him to pick one up for me.

Ok, solved the first question myself, there is only one Valentine model, it is just the setup that's different, and that is easily changed.
So does anyone know of a site that has up to date reviews and comparisons between the Valentine 1 and the Bell 550, I know that the Valentine has been updated to include Ku band.
Or any personal opinions

As Rich says the Valentine 1 costs $399 in the US and £550-600 here And don't believe the advertising, it is exactly the same model just setup differently.
Only problem is that Valentine will only ship within the USA or Canada. I placed my order today and it's getting shipped to my brother who is on holiday in Orlando

Valentine 1 retail in the UK - £600
Valentine 1 retail in the US - $399
When I got mine the exchange rate was fairly good, so I got mine for £260. I got it shipped to a friend who lives in the States, and as another friend was visiting them, I got them to bring it back for me.
I also got the remote display module as well. ($39 - £26) so I can have the module high on the windscreen, and the display nearer the dash and in turn blanks the main display. This means that if someone (probably Police) they wouldn't be drawn to the red LED's as they are not seen from behind.
Does it work? Well it bleeps a lot!! Although my girlfriend recently started doing a lot of miles on the North Circular and it helps her slow down in time for all the cameras, and has the advantage of only highlighting the live ones!
The Valentine 1 website has some comprehensive instructions on how to enable and disable detected bands. The difference between the US and the UK ones is the way they are set up.
I've seen the Bel's in action and there is no real difference between the products, although for half the UK retail price and less than the Bel products, I'm not complaining!!
