I like that, bet he gets a lot of invites to the local steam shows.

He must have done some work to the steering as well. All the standard tractors that I have driven on the roads had diabolical steering-even frightening at times!

Went to visit Desperate Dan the tractor puller in Presall, Lancashire and he was running Rolls-Royce Griffon engines in his tractor.

He had about half a dozen spare engines in his workshop, and i recognised the engine as soon as i saw it. He said they were from late model Spitfires and Avro Shackletons.

He asked me if i wanted to buy one, i had a mini at the time so i said could it be installed in that? He said it would fit like a glove, after some 'minor' fabrication work?
