Roller skating!
I have a confession!
A few months ago I took my 6 year old son to a kids party at “Roller world” in Derby and found my self flying around to 80’s house music with a massive smile on my face!
I came home and went straight on to ebay for some Bauer’s (quads I may add) and £100 later I was the proud owner of some retro roller skates!
The next week we went again this time taking the wife and again had a great time coming home back onto ebay and getting another pair for her!
We then had to get my son a pair and have been skating every week since!
We even found ourselves at an all night skate last week where skate crews from London and Milton Keynes came to show their stuff, at 2 am there was a big crew of skaters in the centre of the rink break dancing with a crowd around them just like the 80’s!
I have not had this much fun in years!
I’m a grown man of 36 and I’m a skater and proud!
Is this bad?
Does this make me ghey?
Does anyone on here skate?

i used to play roller hockey, but i wouldn't class it as ghey as
1) no choons
2) the amount of blood spilled each game would have made a spartan wince. well maybe not, but i did ruin lots of tee shirts!
3) I was 25
I'd say you are 'enlightened' if it makes you smile, go for it*
*only for legal activities of course.

Last time i had a pair of Bauer’s on was about 8 years ago (i was about 35). Me and a mate ended up in hysterics in the middle of town during a 3am (you can imagine the state we where in) skate to the 24hr garage.
Before that i skated every day until i was 17 and some of that time was at Rollerworld, albeit in the sin-bin. Great exercise, great fun and not at all ghay. Enjoy reliving your youth.

It was a great shame when they pulled that rink down.
We used to love having a nice hot cup of tea afterwards too!
Is that how you spell it DCI?, I thought it was Ghey!
