Default Being taken to court for failing to produce documents

I was stopped on the 31/3 2009 and issued with a fixed penalty noice which I promptly paid and surrendered the plastic part of my license, however having lost the green part I was told to contact the dvla for a replacement and given to the 8th of May to send it off.

Last week still no sign of the replacement, so I rang the central ticket office who said no problem contact the dvla and we'll grant you an extension.
I sent the replacement off on Monday, yet today I get a letter saying I failed to surrender my licence within 7 days from the date of the offence and that the paperwork has been forwarded to the issuing officer for court process.

So now they have my money, both parts of my licence And want to take me to court.
The central ticket office have told me to contact should no longer be directed to them, but the issuing officer but I have no idea who that is

So where the heck do I go from here? do I wait for a court summons or take a visit to the local plod station and see if they can shed any light on the matter

I only wish they were this interested when I had all my tyres slashed on the impreza

If you were issued with the fpn in your own area, I'd go to the local plod station and ask to see an inspector: don't be put off, and don't leave until it's resolved.

BTW: the name/number of the issuing officer will be on the fpn, if you still have it, or a copy.

When I fell out with my local scammers recently, my MP took it up for me and they re-agreed on contact sharpish. Mention this to inspector plod when you go

It was issued Just outside North wales and I live in Cornwall, so a bit far to travel. Any idea where the court summons would be? would I have to travel all the way up there

Da one if I recall, I think there was only an unconscious hooker in the boot on this occasion

Question

If it goes to court, it'll be wherever issued the fpn.

Do they charge for a replacement piece of green paper?

Maybe you should have produced the Hooker at the cop shop!

It might be a case of going to court and telling the Mag what happened, If you have the paper trail then you will get no further police action.
I know its not ideal but I cant see you getting stuck on for it.
