Default Strange goings on at Triangles Hall............

.....well, IN the hall actually.

Last night, coming through out hall from the kitchen, I heard a noise at the front door.
As I watched, the handle went down and the door swung open.

I rushed to the door, but there was no-one there, and the security lights weren't on..which they were the minute I stepped OUT of the door to look.
Weird

Also, how did it get unlocked.....I remember locking it earlier............

Tany, I reckon you freaked the ghost out by getting to the door.
I read on the news that a hospital somewhere in the UK was exorcised lately. Even doctors (75% scientist and 25% human they are supposed to be) had seen unexplainable activities taking place there

Just leave a beer, a packet of crisps and a *** outside your door tonight. If it all disappears, to has to be a ghost

Not seen ours for a while, kind of missing it really, even working from home all day, not even a glimpse.

From a scientific point of view it sounds like you have Ghostitist, This is when electric particles merge with ions in the cold air to form a big scary ghosty.........

Oh dear! Your original post.

I was only about 9 and was in bed when my bedroom door was opened and closed again. My parents were out and I was alone in the house having been sent to bed.

My grandfather had died in the house a few days beforehand.

I was fully awake and reading a book at the time.

I got my dad's air rifle out and sat with it on my knees until my parents came home!

HAHA!
Leslie knows that the bullet would have just gone through his granddad's eternal spirit, like a stone passing through thin air. If you see the film Ghost, you will know. I think in the film, a cat falls on its face when it attacks Patrick Swayze's ghost. It just goes through him like it was jumping through the cat flap

My auntie (when she was a little girl) used to see a walking stick going clip-clop on the ground by itself. She says she has also seen a hat (like Charlie Chaplin's) floating on one level by itself. She doesn't do pot, alcohol etc. No suspicious marionettist or black light theatre person lives in her vicinity either. There are ghosts, I can assure you that One comes to our house and moves my car keys all the time! I eventually find them, but it is getting annoying now I think this ghost needs a good beating, but I don't know how to figure it out.

I like "spirit" level idea
But, Tam. How do I figure the invisible ghostie out? I don't want to be chopping thin air with the spirit evel, and making a right fool of meself in front of that stupid ghost I need to know how I can actually see it
Perhaps beer goggles will do the trick
<puts beer on shopping list>
I may even record my victorious Don Quixote moments, and stick them here for everyone's entertainment

Did not see who opened the door, and Turbohot has explained the likely result of course.

Its a funny thing, I have the same sort of problem with my keys too, and my reading glasses! Mrs Leslie always finds them though-she must be psychic!

Still got the airgun though-just in case.
