I've suggested to my lad that he might want a pet rat later in the year when I get back from Afghanistan. I'd better not let him see this or I'd me more worried about the misses going for my jugular, she's not happy with the idea as it is!

I had a large rat (pet) a few years back measuring 25 inches lol
6lb is heavy though.

Only around for a couple of years too.
Far better than hamsters, gerbils, etc

My boy has two rats atm and they are very good pets, they get handled almost every day and have become very tame, in fact you only need to walk past their tank and they scurry to the top hoping to get taken out lol
