Passport
Are they all now five year or have I been ripped off. Bit miffed as I paid extra for more pages thinking it would be ten years again.

renewed mine in december. was due to expire in July of this year, and the new one is valid until 2019....and it's the extra page version too (the chinese love their passport stamps and a visa takes up a whole page, so i'll probably need to replace it again in a few years; well before 2019!)
got any tipex? ...or could they have made a mistake? why not call the passport office and ask?

On the phone now, seems they have issued me with a children's passport! I know I look a few years below my age, but this is silly. I'm desperate for a holiday as well.

yup 10 years for an adult I think over 16, 5 years for children.
I did mine in November plus you get the additional months between expiry and renewal if you do it early

The chancers were trying to get me to write to them explaining the problem attaching a copy of my birth certificate! WTF!! The problem is you've issued me with the wrong passport. Stamped addressed envelope in the post and fast turn around promised.
