Default What to do..

My son is 4 on Wednesday.

And his Party at the local Wacky thingie is tomorrow.

He will be getting small gifts from his friends at the party.

Do I give him our presents tomorrow, or do I wait until Wednesday ?

Im sure he thinks its his birthday tomorrow..........although we have explained.

His main present needs parental supervision, daylight and decent weather.

Wednesday we are all in work, and he is in nursery, which only leaves him a couple of hours daylight.

Hmmm......what to do.

Pressies he gets from his mates at the party he gets on the day. Anything from you or family he gets on his birthday.

Thats the way we do it.

I'd save your present for him until Wednesday - gives him something to look forward to, and he gets to have fun - twice

Friends on the party day, family on his actual birthday.

I don't think a 4 yo will appreciate a sundial however.

Wait till his birthday.

He's not going to wake up wanting a present because it's party day.

ps, what's his main present, sounds cool.

350w CHILDS ELECTRIC QUAD BIKE MINI QUAD on eBay, also, Trikes, ATVs Quads, Motorcycles Scooters, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 27-Oct-08 15:45:23 GMT)

Amongst other bits, no watches yet, I got him one of these, the Black one.

Trouble is I work 0630-1445, so Wednesday I wont see him until after nursery about 1600hrs.

I think I will have to bunk off work for an hour and come home before he leaves for nursery, take him for a blast then drop him off.

Thanks Yoza

How I wish I had one of these when I was 4.....

PS. I didnt get him the petrol one as the Police are **** hot at taking them off you if you use them in the wrong places. Also they are noisey as hell like a chainsaw motor, this one can be used in the park and is as quiet as a golf buggy.

It has two speeds...a brisk walk, and a bit of a jog......cant wait

Yep, the petrol ones are pretty noisy! My kids got a one of these.

It's just a shame all the hat/boots/body armour etc comes to more than the bloody quad.

There great fun though.

Couldnt wait, gave him his quad after his party.

No rain at 3pm, so around the park we went, he found 6 dog turds, which later I sponged off, nice.

Its really slow on SLOW mode, just a bit faster than walking pace.
But on FAST mode its a sprint.

It still has half a charge after a half hour run.

It needs a reverse gear though, the turning circle is poor so there is lots of lifting involved when he gets stuck.

Its quiet and safe, the brake is a disc to the rear axel and has a built in limit switch to cut out the motor when applied.

He is happy....I am fcucked, thats life.

Later Yoza

I would play it by ear, If he looks tiered or overwhelmed after the party keep the big presie back. If he still thinks its his birthday and looks like he has a bit of fight left in him then dish it out.

A playbarn party with 20 kids from his new school and old nursery...cant wait.

No bikes or quads this year, he likes his Wii, so a couple of games for that and he wants another tour around BOAC - AC.

He wants a proper train set, but I think I will save that for Xmas, I think he is too heavy handed for a proper train set, I remember them beng fragile.

Are you bored, dragging up old threads...

For the same money I used to hire the village hall. That way you can invite 2+ times as many and feed them and youll still not have paid as much as youre about to: even after youve hired a bouncy castle and a disco or netertainer/magician.
