God, that's just tragic. I know that losing your loved one is the worst thing that can happen, but on your Honeymoon.....
Part of me thinks him not waking up would be a mercy for himself (if that comes across correctly)

Who told you that?? One of the safest islands out there mate, you get good and bad everywhere but on the whole it's a very safe place to go! Shocking story though

Reckon this is spreading throughout the caribbean. Colin Montgomery was robbed at knifepoint in a restaurant we had booked to go to in Barbados a few years back, needless to say - we cancelled.

Bad story to read too Not nice when you cant even do something as simple of going on honeymoon safely.

That is tragic, which is why the media have taken it upon themselves to let everyone know...so they can sell more papers.
Just imagine what that poor sod will be going through now.
Havnt heard the full story, but i'm thinking he may have put up some kind of fight after being robbed. I'm pretty sure that is one scenario where I would just tell them to take whatever they liked. Although who knows...people act differently when they get fright.

Caribbean shooting: Antigua has murder rate three times higher than New York - Telegraph
I'd say there are many, many islands with a much better homicide rate.

There were problems there too , a couple of girls were attacked and raped hiking up the volcano nearby. Awesome part of the world though, if you haven't done it yet make sure you visit Tikal before you move onto your next country

We did a 3 week fly-drive in Jamaica in 2003 and the most 'dangerous' thing that happened was some filthy Moroccan cvunt trying to get into my rucksack whilst getting on the train back from Schiphol. Most Jamaicans we saw were just too lazy to be dangerous
Sad story on Antigua though

It was years ago I went to both, Antigua is obviously a very different place to what it was but again still depends on which part of the Island you stay at. I have relatives that holiday there a couple of times a year (lucky sods) and love the place and they wouldn't go there if they thought they were remotely at risk.

R.I.P Catherine and Ben
Ben was my son's best friend at UWE where they were just about to start their 3rd-year doing a joint dissertation together. He went to the wedding three weeks ago yesterday.
My son will be completing his degree for Ben as much as himself
Very sad.
We couldn't believe it when we answered the door to a reporter from the Sun on Wednesday afternoon "looking for a quote" and itv.com left a message on my son's Facebook a couple of hours later asking him to get in touch. Absolutely despicable

Martin, that's dreadful, I've only just seen today's news Everyone affected by this tragedy has my deepest sympathy.
Reporters are so insensitive and make my blood boil when they go snooping around like this looking for any scrap of info that might help sell a few more papers. They show no consideration or respect.
