Question

New phone today that hopefully works where I live & it's GPRS/WAP, so looking for something worthwhile to do with this "extra functionality"

Any ideas/suggestions?

Also interested, on another plane, in WAP sites that you can submit data to & get an answer (filling in forms etc).

I found a TV listings page once that was a tiny bit quicker than Teletext but not quite as good.

Not sure if this still works but I put together www.avertlabs.com you could search for virus information.

Chistmas party is on Wednesday on Sydney Harbour, can't remember the girls name but you're still welcome.

Unhappy

It has its moments..

If you use public transport in London then TfL's site is good, tflwap.gov.uk.

If you're a big Burnley Footy fan (!), then wap.newsquest.co.uk/lancashire/ is excellent

A good sports site is wap.planet.com/ (wap.planet-f1.com to go direct to the f1 bit).

Haven't found a good road travel site - so have to stick 2222 on Vodafone at 60p/ min. Also haven't found a good search engine to find wap sites. I tried, but gave up 'cos WAP ain't worth spending too much time on.

And finally, I think the BBC has a WAP bit, but haven't tried it. Likely to be good, if it's the Beeb though

As URLs are a pain to type on a WAP phone I have assigned each site a Bango Number. Simpily go to http://bango.net (bookmark it in your phone) and then type in the numbers by each site to go directly to them without typing the URL.

Hope these help.

Mark

PS Tell me what you want to know regarding forms and I'll try to get an answer for you.

PPS Nigel the BBC site is only available on Orange

Not amazing, but Gis-a-Job was the first Recruitment site in Europe to be WAP enabled.

The site should auto-detect your phone

Longtime no speak

Where you been hiding?

I had possibly two (2) things that you wanted. Do you still want either of them? Was waiting to hear back - left messages etc.

Also, CS - no time/inclination to play no more?

Doh!

Catch you soon...
