Six points in 500m!!!
Driving along A68 tonight and car in front of me has two or three cars in front of him.
Get to a short straight - he comes out to over take - flash, flash - 3 points please.
Go around corner - clearly not learned his lesson as he does exactly the same and - flash, flash - another 3 points please!
LOL - You have to hope that at least one of them was a dummy although they both flashed twice.
There are lots of cameras down towards Jedburgh and all of them are on straights - pure revenue earners

Probably a stolen or un-registered car ... driver doesn't give a toss!
A friend had his house burgled just before Xmas - they stole all the presents AND the two cars!!
He has now received 3 speeding tickets from the cars - 2 were within 1/2mile of his home ...... as they sped away with them!

Saddest car I ever got a ticket in, was on the A68 (just as you go down the hill into Bonnie Scotland)

About fourteen years ago I drove from Newcastle to Edinburgh at about 2am. Up the A1, no traffic, it was the quickest I had ever made this journey by some significant margin.
Between Berwick and Edinburgh I was very puzzled by half a dozen double flashes. I thought as as I was near the East Coast mainline it must have been electric train connections flashing as trains passed near the road.
Apparently the speed scameras had just been installed for testing and were not commissioned!
That might have been hard to argue as a single offence in court.
Oh, and the only time I have been done in a camera was 56mph at 0715 on a Monday at Junction 14 of the M25 in a Rover 400
How I managed to get 56 in nose to tail traffic is beyond me...the variable limit was set at 50mph

The A68, is that the one with the comedy pointy hill? You go up at 45° it levels out for about a car length and then goes back down at 45°. It has a max speed limit of 30mph IIRC, I went over at about 65 and as I was airborne spotted the scamera van at the other side!! I think they must have just parked in for the day though, they pulled out just after me but didn't give chase and I've never heard owt about it!
