Ive been to St Lucia. Stayed at the Jelouise Hilton. And it was a horrible Island compared to Barbados.
The Fairmont Royal Pavilion is a top hotel to stay at in Barbados. Been twice this year

We've stayed at the Sandals Halcion, stay at one use all three, as the slogan says. Fantastic hotels all of them, the Halcion is the smallest but just as good as the other two, go for it we are going back next year, even got my PADI open water diver Q, but as already said the island is not upto much though, however the hotel makes up for it!

Had our honeymoon at Sandals Halcion and IMHO it was the best of the Sandals resorts on St. Lucia, there are buses for transfers between the resorts and you can use the facilities at each resort. The drinks are inclusive and are premium brands like Absolut and Heineken, none of the dodgy watered down yuck. The food was great although with so many septics staying there you have to be prepared for the restaurants to be overun by 6pm! Watersports galore, I managed to snap the guides on one of their hobie cats by sailing it too long on one hull
We saw a few weddings out there whilst we were there and to be honest, would you want the aggro of ensuring all the luggage and wedding dress arrived in one piece? This combined with knowing that there will be very few people you know there - unless you have just had a nice city bonus
Word of advice - get the helicopter transfer from the airport to the resort otherwise it's a 90 minute, 26 mile drive along roads that would scare Solberg! I remember one bus coming in full of septics dripping half a goat from it's bumper

Anse Chastanet (near the Pitons) was stunning. Visited two Sandals in StLucia (long story). Different league at Anse Chastanet. No pool but 2 gloriuos beaches and no hassle, personal drinks service, Scuba, boat trips. The food was magnificent. The deserts (sp?) were the best I have ever eaten (honestly).
John Malkovich was there at the same time. All in all WOW
But Sandals.....ok

We got married at the sandals golf resort which is the larger one which was really nice as already stated the food and drink were great but make sure you book for some of the restraunts especially the japanese.
The wedding itself was fine but i would advise that you get married Monday or Tuesday of the second week this is due to the fact that a lot of amercains go over for one week and therefore have to get married on late in the week,we got married in the pm and were the only couple getting married that day so it was not a conveyor belt!
I would also strongly suggest you avoid getting married on the beach itself it sounds good but one everyone is squinting due to the sun in their eyes and two any videos taken are drowned out by the sound of the sea and also the locals try to sell you sea shells at the worst possible moment i witnessed this!!
If you need any more advice please send me private post and i will give you more.
Cheers.

Just goes to show how blinking long ago it was (or seems like it anyway), it wasnt st lucia we stayed , it was Antigua. Much nicer I hear than St Lucia, but horse for courses as they say.
Blue Waters, Antigua
back on topic...found the place we stayed.it had recently been renovated as it was badly damaged during one of their hurricanes.
Fab place and a great start for exploring the island.
has everything you need in terms of food, pools, facilities, cracking service and private beach
