What 37" LCD TV?
Hi everyone, I hope some well informed person could give me some guidance on which 37" LCD TV I should purchase... Initially purchased a Sony 40" LCD TV, which surprisingly was far too large for the living area it was in.
So I have now set about getting a 37" one. I'm currently using the JVC LT-37DS6B as a benchmark. My budget is £1400. Which model would you recommend at this price? Also what are your views on the JVC, I have initially selected...
Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers.

Toshiba 37WLT58 - might be slightly out your price range though, but it's a cracker.

I'm glad somebody else has mentioned the Toshiba. That is the next one on my list. But also I've been told the Panasonic TH37PX60B is good, but its also over my budget, and the specification doesn't seem as good as the two mentioned before...
Frankly i'm abit confused, but the Toshiba is looking the like the better buy at the moment.
Any other ideas welcome, and appreciated. Thanks lads.

Hi,
I'm looking for a 37" at the moment too. I think there are new Samsungs/Sharps on the way - I'd check out Avforums for a full run down. I'm gravitating towards the Toshiba myself.
Paulr - what 37" plasma would you reccomend?
Cheers

I also cant believe you have a problem with the 3 inches!
Like Hifi the quality of picture depends upon the quality of the input. In the case of most TVs you only really get to see a big difference in quality when you hook them up to a decent DVD system. When you go to currys the screens tend to run a variety of rubbish making them difficult to compare.
I prefer LCD to plasma but thats personal. Incidentally the long term future is moving away from plasma to LCD but then away from both to new digital technology.

I have a KDLW40 which is wider due to the speakers. Its true that its a big piece of kit but Im confident that my lounge is smaller.... If it becomes an issue I will mount it on the wall; but its stand is only a little over one foot deep, whichs under half the depth of the 28" CRT it replaced.
