Why are 15" lcd TVs so pricey?
15" lcd monitors can be hand for £300, so why is a 15" tv
over £500 - even upwards of £800 in some cases?!?!?!

Surely some enterprising far-east box-shifter can
do them cheaper????

Anyone know cheaper?

You have to add in the tv tuner. I mean they might be able to knock them out for £18 in TV cards but they can be pretty pricey on their own.

..but they can do 14" CRTs for £80 (with tuner!!!).
So - the tuners can't be that pricey........

If you sign up to the www.ihavetohave.it mailing list, I'll have good news for you around July. We'll be offering 15" 4:3 and 17" 16:9 with PAL/Teletext tuner, remote control and optional integrated DVD. There should also be a competitive 32" plasma.
