I know what you're saying BUT it's a bit ****e to have doublestandards. And I think it's important that chavs can't obscure their face from cameras. I wish they'd obscure them from me though!!!

He could have been a pikey casing the joint .... have no issue whatsoever.
Do you want to fight crime or just bleet on and on about it?? Some civil liberties need to be given up to keep the rest!
Take EVERYONE'S DNA and everyone's fingerprints and issue ID cards NOW!!

what civil liberties would that be that we are keeping?
freedom of speech, dying due to political correctness
freedom of print, again dying from PC and spin from the powers that be.
freedom of travel, passport, soon to be biometric & other stuff??
Car detail recorded, online insurance road tax & mot,
Journeys logged,
cctv in everytown centre,
phone calls recorded,
emails stored,
all communications abroad channeled through hmg listening establishments
Our basic charter of rights/ laws manipulated without due process to give the incumbent government undue power and removing the essence of our basic democratic rights.
smoking to be banned
hunting banned
small arms shooting banned
so come on then wise ***, what civil liberties are we allowed to practice with impunity?

I feel the UK is going down a slippery slope with all the new laws introduced to reduce civil liberties.
Perhaps the new laws will not be mis-used by this government (although I think that is also highly likely), but it is risky to introduce the mechanisms for a totalitarian state because we can't be sure what future governments will be like.
