Do you think its a great film becasue of the sets, and the acting, and the story?
Or
Are you thinking its great because Bale is so thin?

Had a copy of it for a while, but been putting off watching it for ages for some reason :S

This film is a real slow burner. There were times when I was a little bit bored watching it but overall a great film.

Yes Bale showed great commitment to the part but I doubt anyone would say it's a great film just because he lost of load of weight (100lbs)

Strange question rr_ww, not sure what you are getting at, my tastes dont really run to emaiciated male actors, did quite appreciate Renee Zellwegger (sp)in the First Bridget Jones film though if we are expected to give our preferences on actors/actresses losing/gaining weight for a role, wasnt quite as impressed with her in the second one, she started to remind me of Timothy Spall.

i thought it was fantastic i have it on dvd here

i thought the whole slighty "freaky" feel was quite good

the dvd extras are quite good to watch as well.

Ive read load of reviews about the tbh. I know very little about the film. Other than the guy is very thin. And suffers from Insomnia?

Most reviews focus solely on how wonderful Bale was to loose all that weight. I was hoping (and pleased to see) that most people actually watched the film rather than the actor IYSWIM

Saw this yesterday because so many on here had raved about it. Thought it was a load of crap to be honest, boring as hell, nothing happens. You've just cost me £3.50 you bast4rds!!
