Finally Booked my flights to Rome for me and the missis in November.....just need to decide on a Hotel.

Staying for 7 nights and budget is around £500 for the Hotel.

Anyone been there recently?

Recommend a good Hotel within this budget?

Try using GTAhotels.com - we've just booked a hotel in Rome with them which was £100 a night per room.

Going soon, so PM me in a few weeks and i'll let you know what it was like.

ive stayed at the hotel opera its quite nice
stay away from the ones directly around the train station
these are full of baltics

I've stayed at the Hotel Sistina near to the top of the Spanish Steps, small ish hotel, but well located clean & pleasant.

Another one if the Hotel Ponte Sisto, just across the Tiber from Trastevere. Great hotel but might be pricier than your budget.

thought about the vatican.no bar or disco but well quiet except the owner wanders around in a dress!!!

khany, just got back from Rome, stayed in the Hotel Claridge North of the Piazza Del Popolo.

Superb hotel, very trendy and modern, good rooms and a superb restaurant round the corner. It cost us £100 per room per night from gtahotels.

Rome was pretty cool

not the top hotel, but very clean and bang in the town centre, and well within your budget. website is in english and you can book direct with them. use the city taxis or metro to get around. the taxis are cheap and very quick usually.
