An observation
Following on from the Courts thread.....
I have to make a comment here.
It seems most of us love to talk about expensive Hi Fi, expensive watches, Holidays, clothes, furniture etc......all fairly anti chav.
Yet, we are happy to ride around in cheap cars that go fast?
Whats that all about then? Does this make sence?
I have to make a comment here.

I think it might be our perception of 'value'
We (mostly) drive subaru's which tend to represent 'good' value, if you wish to drive an extremely powerful car, at relatively low cost.
These attributes are rarely provided in this ratio in other aspects of life, therefore we are prepared to forgo cost for performance, maintaining our perception of value.

It's all about personal choices, surely? I've been *very* careful to avoid £ signs wherever possible in the hi-fi thread, because it's blindingly obvious it attracts the rolleyes reactions - i think i would too if somebody quoted £xx this and £xx that.
For me personally, the Scoob does as much, and in some cases, more than a Ferrari etc, so what's the point there? Or do i NEED to spell out that i've bought Courts furniture in the past to drive home the point that the thread was tongue in cheek? You tell me.
