finally watched this last night after buying it months ago (spooky that I decided to watch it in october which is when the film is set), anyway I got the gist of the film but one thing is puzzling me that one of you guys may know;

At the end gretchen is on her bike with a little boy standing next to her outside donnie's house and the little boy ask's her if she knew donnie, well because its back at Oct 1st she hasn't met him and so says no, but then a few moments later she waves to donnies mum and she waves back like they know each other and I can't work out why! His mum cant know her from school because she only joins as a new pupil later on, any ideas?

Drew Barrymore is writing cellar door on the blackboard, is this simply because she has been sacked from the school and will no longer be able to play her part, therefore she blatently goes straight for the cellar door on the blackboard approach in case she is no longer able to influence Donnie...

Bingo! thats st I had to plough through alot of stuff but found what I needed, I can rest easy tonight now. It was certainly a very interesting film and a kick-*** sountrack as well!

It's interesting reading peoples views, opinions & explanations on there although I've only read 4 pages . I've seen the film a few times (not the directors cut yet though) and keep noticing extra little details each time I watch it which make me think differently about it but that's just the brilliance of it .
