for the past two months i have been training up this guy at work to do the exactly same job as me as we are low on staff, anyway he has just got his full contract with the company and i found out he is getting more pay than me WTF !!!!!!

The guy is a total muppet , he is not interested in the job one bit and training him was like pulling teeth, i mentioned it to my boss, but as usual it was brushed under the carpet, I once asked him to do a simple job of installing Anti Virus software on a PC , i dont know WTF he did but the whole machine needed rebuilt

Anyway thats my rant over for the eve

Well i certainly wouldnt let your boss brush it under the carpet so to speak. And i dont believe for a minute a pc needed a "rebuild" after the installation of anti virus software!!!! imo

Oh yeah - Netshield... nightmare!

Install it, install the SP1 before even thinking about rebooting it... otherwise... rebuild.

I wasnt the person that rebuilt it, heard from one of my mates that he had to rebuild the PC, I didnt believe it either

Im writing a nice email to my boss just now, about my trainee hopefully something will get done,

just as the guy was leaving i saw he had a laptop case

me "nice laptop case is that your laptop"
him "no its works i bought the case so i could take the laptop home"
me "errrrr that was a waste of money no laptop leaves this office, only the on call person takes the oncall laptop"
him "You take yours home with you"
me "Thats because its my laptop and i have had it tested by the company and got permission to use my own laptop"
him "cant i take it home just for tonight"
me "No because if anything happens to it we will all be in the Sh**"

and as to the bloody awful situation of training up a muppet... ask for (demand) an appraisal.

If you are clearly more skilled than someone else, and can demonstrate it - they can hardly refuse you.

If your boss chooses to ignore you, go to his boss and file a grievance

LOL @ my companys appraisal system , im sure there is a magical cupboard somewhere that all the appraisals go and are never seen again. The promotion system is worse i have worked out that the big boss has a box with everyones name in it and just pulls names out at random
