eClaire - know a lot of people that have had dealings with Scottish Enterprise recently, due to our huge redundancies.....
Congrats. Hope you can make a difference, and Merry Xmas.

eC - i am sure you will be the exception to the rule, just like i was when i worked for local govt.
only trouble is, if you work too hard you find you start getting snide comments as you are showing up the fact that most of the other people are doing **** all.
i hope they are giving you flexi-time. that was a real bonus.

Cheers Charlie
I have heard that civil servants are well known for being a bunch of strokers, but when I worked for DTI everyone I came across worked exceptionally hard. Maybe its those local ones that give the rest of us a bad name!
Especially that ODPM, not mentioning any names, MR EMERY!

I've only been let into 1 Victoria Street and the Leeds office (damned if I remember the name but I spent enough hours in there) They obviously didn't like the look of me
Oh, congrats on getting the job

I see you have managed to drag yourself out of bed SB!
I didn't want to disturb your Christmas night out so I thought I would leave it til I saw you next. I Couldn't tell you when you rang at 2 this morning cos you were too busy talking about that birds big boobies and men in kilts lol.
I was going to say this afternoon, so I could be rewarded accordingly!
But yeah, well done me
