Going to Wembley Arena tonight and we dont fancy driving. Train is £30 each return and we are only in Basingstoke. Was thinking of driving in on the M4 and parking up somewhere cheap where we can get the tube into Wembley.

Any ideas fellow Scoobynetters as I dont venture into the big smoke that often?

Hounslow West. On the Piccadilly Line to Heathrow. Big car park beside the Tube station, loads of residential streets nearby. Used to live there - I still park there if I need to be in London and don't want to drive/park in the centre.

Harrow on the Hill. Only a few stops down from Wembley, though tricky one-way system. How do you get from Hounslow W to Wembley, it would take hours on the tube!? Or any further out than that.

Hounslow West to Wembley looks quite simple. Straight up Piccadilly swap over onto Metropolitan and you are there.

Sorry, am I stupid? Where do you swap over? I lived in Richmond for 3 yrs, Hounslow for 1, Harrow for 16. From Hounslow West to Wembley Park, it will take you HOURS. Think of it as 5 mins btwn each stop, and add them up.

Having now looked at a map, I'd at least suggest Uxbridge. I can't remember what the parking is like, but it's pretty easy off the M40.

probably a bit late now - but I always go to High Wycombe, as there's tons of parking and there's a quick train direct to Wem-ber-ley.

Well we didnt go anyways due to the stupid Postmen striking and our tickets not arriving
