Question

After watching The Tonight programme recently about the Additive Free test carried out on boy twins, I have decided to try my 5 yr old daughter who has adhd on this. They mentioned about a supermarket who sold a range of additive free foods, but never mentioned which one, does anyone know which supermarket it is?.
Do i have to avoid ALL E numbers or is it additives and flavourings, it does look quite complicated to begin with. Anyone tried this kind of diet on their children for hyperactivity problems?.

Many thanks

Tracey

we feed our daughter mostly on food that is prepared at home...no junk food/pre-prepared rubbish so her intake of additives is relatively low

you can't avoid them altogether but by preparing your own food at home you avoid a lot of them and a bonus is it's cheaper

PB,

I do but fortunately shes only 2 months old It just makes me laugh how all this crap comes to life after many generations of rearing children (ok I know E's are a product of modern society or should I say additives) but it seems for every bit of bad behaviour there is something other than the parents to blame!

You gotta teach em discipline early before the rot sets in (just my view!)

I tell you what, you stick to things you know about.... I was asking for replies from people who could maybe help me. You should take a look at some of the adhd sites on here and then maybe you will realise there is children with these problems. I only hope you dont have to experience it, then again..............
Enough said.

well, I went to sainsburys this morning, got some Blue Parrot range and they do another called "Freefrom" which helped me with little treats, i also got organic fruit, baked beans etc etc.
I may try tesco tomorrow, not sure if they do a range or not.

Cheers
