What is the best radar detector going? I'm getting too near to getting caught, even when trying to stick to the limits.....

4 radar emitting devices they r great & wont go off when cameras arent working which is at a guess wot is mentioned above about not working but they r limited in wot they can protect against. They r great against all things gatso etc based but then if yer doing motorway miles u may kum unstuck against SPECS type devices as well as laser wielding constables & most coppers will be using laser so 4 totoal protection u really need detector, GPS device & lasar jammer but even then u may get clobbered still by coppers & those nice white lines or their speedos.
Even so i like sum form of defence however unfoolproof.

Well, put it this way - if it's a copper with a hairdryer, there's a fair chance that by the time your detector detects it, he's already nicked you.

I've been done for speeding by traffic police (i.e., not gatsos) wice in my life. One was with Vascar, and there's absolutely f-all a detector will do against that...

Thanks all, good pointers. When I've sorted one out I'll give it a try and see what happens.

3 types - radar, GPS and laser. You can get detectors that do 2 out of 3. Probably the type to go for is GPS/laser.

of course they work - my GPS detector tells me I'm approching a gatso from 10 miles away. perfect. god knows about the radar and laser detectors though
