Sitting here listening to The Beach Boys. I have quite a large music collection but I keep returning to this. Obviously there's the popular stuff like 'I Get Around' and 'Good Vibrations' which everyone knows, but there are the other tracks like 'Cotton Fields' and 'Sloop John B.' which are not so well known. 'God Only Knows' is just amazing in my opinion.
I don't really know why I started this thread, but I felt like it! Does anyone else like them?

Saw (what was left of) them in about 1991 at Wembley Arena. Shyte acoustics, fantastic entertainers, and hit after hit after hit... Ignored all jokes about zimmer frames, and it was well worth it.

I've been listening to them now for quite a few years (I'm only 26), but I still think they're great. Too young to have been able to see them in their original form! Two of them are dead now anyway.

Brian Wilson is one of the all time greats. No, he *is* the all time great.
I *never* tire of listening to the Beach Boys. God Only Knows is a work of geneous!! I love the older stuff too. Surfin' Safari, Little Deuce Coupe, Fun, Fun, Fun etc.
If you love close harmony singing check out the Four Freshmen. They wre the group that origonally inspired Brian Wilson. They are magic!!
