Now before i start, this is not a pop at the older generation. I know that one day i will reach 40 and my life will be over.
Driving to work this morning, spotted a Dk. Blue Impezza Turbo 5dr coming towards me. I waved as i got close and was dumbfounded to see two little old ladies occupying the front seats. When i say little old ladies they must have been late 70's to eighties - You remember the old granny from the Sylvester & Tweety Pie cartoons - Well these must have been her older sisters. They did not wave back (don't get me started on that one!!!!!!!).
Thinking about it it is probably the safest thing for them to be in - great brakes, good handling, good saftey record and generally very reliable with good dealer back-up (no offence CK1) and chances are that with 60+ years no claims bonus she can afford to insure it.
Bit scary though. All that performance - One little old lady
Now how does that Beach Boys track go - Little old lady from ......

Just after we bought our red WRX, a friend of mine saw one travelling towards her thru' a village local to her - when she got closer she was about to flash when she realised the car was full of nuns - in full habit !!!

There are quite a few old ladies and gents in my vicinity (Tunbridge Wells) running around in scooby turbos! Do they boot it, like hell they do, they travel around at 30mph everywhere. Guess they're making sure the turbo don't blow
The classic though is that I was walking in town with SuzyQ and we saw a scooby turbo coming towards us, and the driver was an older gentleman who was smoking a pipe! Suzy had much fun at my expense saying that all scooby drivers are pipe smoking fuddy-duddies! Big blow to my (and our, as in scooby clan) streed cred!

It looks like Tunbridge Wells will be the place to buy a second-hand 200 miles on the clock Scoob Turbo.....
I ask you - the lengths some OAP's will go to in order to be first in line at the post office on pension day.....
Thanks
Gavin
