My experience thus far
My scooby is with them right now and they seem to be ok. There is a distinct lack of communication for sure. They seem to know what they are doing as a general feeling. As for the actual work, can't comment yet.

If had a few problems with Api,
First being they totally forgot to fit some parts I supplied, I turned up to collect my car and had to leave it with them again,
Second being they got copper slip all over my seats and door cards. They said they would pay for a valet but took me over 10 phone calls chasing it up,
And finally they did a alignment on my car through protyre as they don't have the equipment, but forgot to mention to protyre exactly what the settings should be, so I had to go to protyre with a employee of Api and make sure they did it correctly.
There not the only scooby specialist I've had problems with either, Powerstation being one!

A followup
Hi everyone,
Just to follow up. Having got her back with a bit of API fettling they have done an outstanding job. It is like a completely new car. They did what they said they would.
The mechanic also found a problem that wasn't on the list and fixed it without issue as well at a very reasonable price (Ok the mrs doesn't think the invoice was cheap but hey she sees a car as just a tool )
All in all a very good service. They just need to work on improving the comms and customer expectations in terms of time frame really. That said, it was ready on the day they said it would be!
They defo get a thumbs up from me

I was suppose to have a courtesy car but managed to get a trailer. Hopefully getting forge rebuild but they said it should be around 4 weeks and it's now been 8 and they haven't even written a report telling me how much and what exactly needs done (wrx 2.5 hawk head gasket failure )

The issue was I think the ball joint. Cheap enough fix. Shows they do a thorough job.
I am sorry you guys are still waiting. I do know they are crazy busy at the moment. It will be worth it in the end if mine is anything to go by!

I'm getting totally **&^%&&*&**(((( off, its been 10 weeks, they never call back, I'm constantly chasing, I am really suspicious about what's going on, Am I within my legal rights just to go and pick it up and trailer it home? Currently driving my Cobra as a daily...... , but I live in Yorkshire and its going to rain soon,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I'm not gonna lie, I feel I'm in the same boat, just called them and apparently they are changing units for the guys that do the engine rebuilds, I was told that I would have my quote last Monday/Tuesday, yet still chasing them today with no quote, I'm now running onto my 9th week of it being there, :/ feel a bit dissapointed as the nice weather is Dissappearing and ill get my toy back eventually and then have to wrap it up for winter..... unless for course it takes that long for the job to be completed of course lol!!

Hi fellas, mine to is there at the minute aswel getting a build done. Agree with everything that has been said so far, can't comment on works as haven't got it back yet. Been there 9/10 weeks now, still waiting on an actual spec of the work to be completed, been a lot of chasing and lack of communication but I must say everything I have been told matches what's be posted here. From what iv gathered they are short staffed and having a move around. Looks like we just picked the worse time to get work done haha and judging from this posts seems a lot of cars there at the moment all getting work done, I must admit even though there is a lack of communication every time iv spoke to them they seen very knowledgable and always happy to offer the opinions etc. Hopefully it really is just down to the heavy amount of work they've got on and the fact they lost an engine builder. Everything I had heard up until now has been nothing but good, the way I'm looking at it is I'd rather wait and get it done right than get a quick turn around have endless problems, soon be back haha
