Looking at those in the 40 to 60 pound area. All have similar pressure (100 - 110 bar) and flow rates (330 - 360l per hour). One has an induction motor which I'm told is better cos it's quieter and lasts longer but this is a only 1400kw. This one's the most expensive. Worth the extra?
Required for light cleaning; paths, scooby, that sort of think.

In anticipation of loads of relevant info - cheers.

Dont mean to put you off or anything but I wouldn't expect much from a £40-£60 pressure washer.

Exclamation

If you want me to detail the respray i needed after pressure washing a 5 GT Turbo (admittedly a two layer paint finish) then please let me know.

Use on the Scoob with *extreme* caution. I know Mark Underwood uses one, but he's very careful. After my experience, i'd never use one on any car ever again.

To be honest, bar shifting mud, I dont think they make a very good of doing the car. Still needs a work over with a sponge to shift the dirt.

I have a Karcher unit that I use on the Scooby all the time - never had a problem. It's great for shifting the 90% of the mud that would just clog the sponge anyway, plus it'll get rid of any particles of grit that could scratch the finish. It's particularly good for shifting brake dust from wheels, and for doing the underside and wheel arches. It also saves water compared to blasting the car with a hose.

Karcher is the best make buy far

If you can pay that little bit extra if you can and buy a one for about £110 or more it will have a better pump on it made out of metal not plastic.

I know someone in the trade as well we have two washers a Deisel hot wash and a pertol cold washer

Unhappy

But, Huxley also knows a poor sad soul who bought a Karcher which after 18 months is in said friends hands for repair!!

I had 3 cheap washers, about £50, they lasted about 11 months each - which was handy as they were all covered under warranty - so, had a £50 washer for 33 months (2 replacements) and then handed the final one back for refund (so, free, for 33 months!)

Then I bought the karcher - was great for 18 months then sprung a leak inside somehow ................ waiting upon the bill (tell him to be gentle with me Huxley!)

Homebase have a Karcher in for £69 - might be worth a punt?
