Yep also posted on the dailyradar forums page, backed up by a "sighting" of a shop with some in.

Come to think of it I saw a PS2 display in Currys today but thought it was just a pre-order thing as I was buisy looking at vaccum cleaners (How old do I feel!!!)

I suspect this is a clever ploy by sony to keep the machine in peoples minds and to devalue bootleggers/auctions.

A few shops in Enfield such as Toy R Us and Electronic Boutique got them on Saturday but will only let you buy one if you buy it as part of a bundle with some games and other extras.

Buying one at the moment isn't a good idea - there's just no quality games yet.

As for buying it as part of a 'bundle' - you'd be mad.

Metal Gear Solid 2 may be here sooner than you think - I've just played it and it is STUNNING - absolutely amazing - pointed my gun at the enemies head and he gave up his weapons - held it to his crotch and he gave up his secret weapon stash - he he!
It looks fantastic - just like the DVD - it's a must have - bit difficult though

.....like I just "wanted" my Scooby, and my palm pilot and my wap phone and I need Satelite TV (PAris Dakar) and I need a minidisc player and one of those Video Recorder that uses a HD and and and and and...................

Yes they are £299 and no obligation to buy any games etc. WH Smith do £10 off if you buy 2 PS2 Games.

Also I had a go on GT2 (the PS1 game) on my PS2 after setting the CD speed to Fast and Graphics to Smooth. It seem a bit better but I dotn know if it was just my mind (wallet) playing ticks on me. Id diddnt seem to help the appaling levels of pop-up in Driver 2 though :-(

DARIO- Is a playable MGS Demo for us plebs out yet or did you get it through your work.

it's here at work sorry - but looks like it's gonna be a bonus disc given away with one of Konami's next releases - and it's just not a few basic levels - there's a lot in there and it's f*cking AMAZING!
